As we enter this Christmas season, we are reminded once again of the quiet, holy moments when the love of God breaks through our ordinary days. At Tupelo Children’s Mansion, those moments often arrive through the voices of our children, in unexpected ways, reminding us of why this ministry exists. This year, one such moment came in the form of a simple handwritten note.

Recently, during one of our church services at Restoration Chapel (the home church of TCM), one of our young ladies walked up to me and slipped a folded piece of paper into my hand. I tucked it into my coat pocket and continued with the morning. Later, after lunch, I reached into that pocket and unfolded her note. It said:

“I do not know where I would be without TCM. I came here afraid and broken. Now I feel safe, and I have found Jesus. For the first time, I know what hope feels like.”

Wow! Her words carried the weight of her past, the reality of her present, and the possibility of her future. And behind every sentence was the unmistakable truth that the ministry of Tupelo Children’s Mansion changes lives. Children who arrive fearful and uncertain are given safety, stability, love, and the powerful hope that comes only from Jesus.

Every child on our campus has a story. Many arrive having endured instability, separation, or circumstances no child should ever face. They come to the Mansion carrying emotional burdens far too heavy for young hearts. But here, through consistent Christ-centered care, nurturing relationships, and a safe environment, they begin to heal. They begin to trust. They begin to dream.

This healing does not happen by accident. It happens because of compassionate friends like you who give so that our staff can serve faithfully, our school can teach confidently, and our children can encounter the presence of God in life-changing ways.

Your generosity makes this possible. Through your partnership, our children receive more than the necessities. They receive the priceless gifts of security, belonging, and a personal realization that Jesus loves them! And at Christmas, your kindness allows us to give them holiday memories filled with warmth: festive meals, cozy pajamas, joyful traditions, and presents selected especially for them.

This Christmas, would you consider a special gift of $50, $100, $250, or whatever amount you feel led to give? Your support directly impacts children like the young lady who wrote that note. Your gift ensures that the next child who walks through our doors will also find safety, love, and a path to hope. Together, we will give our children a Christmas filled with joy and a future anchored in hope.

Thank you for believing in this ministry. Thank you for loving these children. And thank you for helping us remind every child at Tupelo Children’s Mansion that they are cherished and never alone.

Merry Christmas!

P.S. I kept that little handwritten note from that young lady as a simple reminder that what we do matters. When you give a Christmas gift today, you help make possible another story just like hers. Your generosity brings hope that lasts long after the season ends.
