Very soon the leaves will begin to change, and our focus will shift from long hot summer days to celebrating the bounty of the harvest season. During this time, we are reminded of the incredible impact a community of caring individuals like you can have on the lives of the children at Tupelo Children's Mansion. Just as the farmer sows seeds in the spring with the hope of a plentiful harvest in the fall, your contributions sow seeds of hope and opportunity for our children.

Recently, one of the young adults in our transitional living program was texting me about some life updates. They made the statement that they felt like the Lord had been dealing with them about a particular decision and they never wanted to ignore the voice of God. This statement made me pause. It wasn’t that long ago that this young person was very angry, full of hurt, and without hope. Now, as they move into adulthood, their primary concern is hearing and obeying the voice of the Lord! I couldn’t help but pause for a praise break. That is the kind of spirit and attitude that will keep and sustain our children!
Isaiah 55:10-11 beautifully illustrates this transformation: “For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it." After years of sowing, watering, and nurturing, God’s purpose for this life was and is being accomplished! What a testimony!
Yes, at TCM, we provide shelter, security, safety, food, clothing, support, therapy, education, and training, but it doesn’t stop there! With your help, we also invest in them spiritually. We do our best to connect them to the ONLY ONE who can really heal their hearts and change their lives. And it is in those moments, when we see that they have that revelation and they begin cultivating their own relationship with Jesus, that the words of the Apostle Paul come to life: "And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up" (Galatians 6:9, ESV).
